LOVE IS IN THE AIR! Mount

Love is in the air. After slacking on the event... and skipping all but 4 days about of the dailies... I made my grind count!  Pet and Mount.  one character. WOOT WOOT!   I now have my flock!  I took the method of slaughtering the podlings around the garrison... you know the really creepy carnivorous plant people.    I must have killed over 1000 of them.. My bottom is quite sore from sitting on it so much... Regardless... SUCCESS!!!

I also run/host 1 competition. the Perfect Shot.. It is a competition all about taking the best screenshots.. I do not know if I will host more than one comp.. I will probably keep it simple..As I have started guest judging other sim competitions.. Currently a judge for Sensation Magazine's Next Top Model.

One of my sim families had a malfunction... and the mailbox was unable to send the bills.... Repo lady came..

(yes I know I missed a day.. and my excuse... I am sick)

Ok so the plan is to briefly go over these games I play and then on another day I will go into more specifics. 

 My addiction began when I lived as a child across the street from a laundry mat with the arcade game Joust. I actually live in the same apt building now.. but sadly Joust is no longer there. I am a big time gaming freak, so of course I have been playing games since my parents would allow my brother and I to do so.  Which has been since we got an Atari...  We were spoiled, and loved games. After the Atari.. it was Nintendo.. then Sega Genesis.. those both kept us entertained for a couple years.  Playstation came out and we had to get one..  Which fueled the love of dynasty warriors. PS 2 and Xbox.. by that time Ben was at least in high school and I was in college.. and well we could help fuel our addictions with part time jobs and helping our parents by doing extra chores/more good grades.  

In high school I played many console games.. and the games on AOL (Mahjongg).  My parents bought me my very own computer.. . a gateway, my sophomore year of high school.. I then got into Sims! Sim City was the first... followed by the Sims 1.. I played the sims through college and was hopelessly addicted to this game.  With some breaks for console games, mainly dynasty warriors...  (I did take a summer of for Elder Scrolls....)  Anyways I purchased every single sims expac I could get.. my favorite in the sims 1 was superstar.. Sims 2 PETS! (which is still my favorite) and Sims 3.. I really like them all and will wait to decide on my fave if they come out with a Pet one! Currently I am playing sims 3.. I have all of the major expansions.. but none of the packs.. I use custom content downloads.. I am participating in many sim modeling competitions and I am working on 2 sim fashion magazines!

Ten Day Guest Pass

yes... over 5 years on a game.. but although I take breaks.. I will say I love this game! It is turning into a monopoly of the mmorpg world, and it is impossible to get away from it.. but I will accept that and keep it as my 'Main Squeeze' as a game.  At the beginning I was living with my brother Benji and Joshie... Josh decided to try the game out and gave Ben and I ten day trials.. Ben immediately started playing.. I had a laptop at the time and could not really keep up... but that February I got a real computer.. a dell xps.. dual core.. wooo after that it was on... I will have to check my total play time when I log in.. but I am pretty sure it is about a year.. lol Oh well I have enjoyed every minute! from ZG to BWD/BOT I am still kicking!

Aside from Sims and WoW I am also currently playing Rift.   So far it is a beautiful game.. but a combination copy of many games I have played.. think WoW + Warhammer.. with a splash of Aion..

Day 2: SSBJ

So as many of you know this blog has been around for a good bit.  Since September, 30, 2008.  I know that is not a crazy long time.. however. that is 3 years of a blog.  I have well over 300 posts.. and I am aiming at more. The blog was originally intended as just a place to look at screenshots, as I have an affinity of spam taking screenshots in games.  When I first started raiding I was in a guild named Monachus Orbis on the Killrogg server. We had a saying.. "what happens in raid... goes on Jezi's blog.'

I chose to blog as a creative outlet and appreciation of the many games I play.  At the time mainly World of Warcraft.  When I started the blog I lived a good 30 hrs away from my family and most of my friends, so this was also a way to show them I was still kicking.

I have high hopes and plans for the future of SSBJ.  I eventually hope to one day get to the point were I consistently blog about every day.  I also have future aspirations of writing up game reviews, adding fan submissions, contests, and a photo gallery.

Blog Challenge: Day 1

So I have been inspired by Saga @ http://spellbound.nu/, and countless other blogs to challenge

myself to improve my blogging consistency.   

So I am challenging myself to go everyday until i fail!

I will start out small.. aiming at 10 days in a row.  

Day 1: About 'Jezi'

My real name is Melissa, but I only go by Mel.  Jezi is short for my WoW raiding priest Jezibell.

I am 28 years old, and a counseling graduate/doctoral student.  I should have my LPC in approximately 2.5 years (10 quarters). But I plan to push on until I get my Phd. :D I live with my fantabulous boyfriend Mikey, we are very serious..  he is my 'one' :D  He is in school to and going to be either an advanced practice nurse or physician's assistant.  I also live in close proximity to my little brother Ben! Love being in walking distance from him...  so I can go pick him up every time he locks himself out of the house.. My parents and most of my family are also really close (within 20 min) Which is very nice, as I was out of the area for a few years.

I have 2 pets that I love very much;   Shamus (12yr old chow-lab mix) & Edna... the grouch (6 year old Siamese)

Currently I work part time at a recreation center, teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding.  Prior to starting the counseling degree I was a corrections officer.  I worked with both adults and juveniles at one time or another.  

I had the opportunity to work in various capacities; booking, control tower, visitation, and  conducting juvenile educational and life skill building groups. I have worked in aquatics at least part time since I was able to get my Red Cross Cert (age 15) I have managed pools and taught swim lessons since I was 18.   I was a swim team kid and swam for a little bit in college. I did not really have the competitive drive or time to dedicate to a varsity sport. And not to mention it was havoc on my grades.   I am still pretty active and I have just recently started to 'have to work out.' The metabolism is finally slowing down...

Other than all my education and work experiences I play games... LOTS AND LOTS of Games!!!!  The more frequent games I play are; WoW, Sims 3 plants Vs Zombies, and Pokemon. I occasionally play rift, aion, champions online, LOTR, D & D online and various xbox 360 games.  My other hobbies include; blogging, gaming, working out, watching movies, and being silly!
